My Logic is Infallible, Really

Hiya. Salutations, the random reader of this. I'm a self-confessed fangirl of Doctor Who, Firefly, Sherlock, The X-Files, Marvel Comics, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Top Gear, Cars, Criminal Mindsm any kinds of musical theatre, especially Wicked and so much other useless stuff that doesn't matter. I love crime and Sci-Fi shows and admit to having a thing for intelligence, nerds and geeks. (So really, let me marry Spencer Reid and I'll be happy)

I love Anime, all different sorts from Fullmetal Alchemist to Salior Moon to Pokemon to Ouran High School Host Club, and well, you get the idea. I ship things very quickly and my OTPs for life are Fitzsimmons, Royai, The Doctor and Rose, Fiyeraba, Akirai and so many more useless pairings. I read way too much to be healthy and have developed an unhealthy obsession with fictional characters.

My username comes from my belief that love is only a chemical reaction in the brain. And, on with the show...

Keep the flame going for those we have lost to suicide.

why has this not got any notes

a middle school girl commited suicide here a few days ago..she was 14..

my followers know who this is for.

two of my close friends attempted multiple times

i attempted around this time last year. keep this going.

Today, personally, this is for Robin Williams.
But for today, and every day, it is for anybody who has ever lost anybody to suicide and anybody who has been lost themselves.
I know it probably doesn’t help, but I am so, so sorry.
RIP

Rest In Peace, Peter Pan.

- Sherlock, I’m home-

- Hello, John.
- Hello, Watson.
- You’re late, dear Watson.

My friends saw the gif and asked me to make three frustrated Watsons. So here it is.

I’m rewatching A Scandal in Belgravia and I really don’t understand how people can ship Sherlock and Molly when he makes her feel like so bad about herself

Yeah. You’re right he didn’t apologize after. Neither did he tell her in the episode following that she does count. Or yeah he never told her that she mattered in the beginning of series three or he couldn’t have done it without her. Oh no. Nah. Never happened that did. Neither did he wish her to be happy and avoided trashing her fiancé. Yeah. No. Oh lord. No. And then she totally did not stand her ground against him several times, especially when she told him he was wasting himself by doing drugs. And of course she wasn’t the first who popped up in his head when he got shot. Yeah. Never happened. What I’m trying to say passive aggressively - Just let people ship whatever. We like to take in account the other moments that took place after that as well. Molly isn’t the same stammering female and Sherlock isn’t a man who means he would be better off without friends. Character development. It keeps on happening. You know? Like I like to think that maybe you’ll perhaps stop caring of what others ship and focus more on your own ship? But maybe you’ll just be angry at me. It’s okay. It’s all okay at the end of the day. I’ll keep on writing my fics and I’ll keep on shipping it like FedEx. *walks off singing let it go, let it go*

Thank you!

These people don’t understand emotional subtext. Sherlock (wrongly) deduces in frustration and didn’t believe the gift/romantic attention could possibly be for him; ergo cocky, vitriolic lashing out. Which he near enough instantly regretted. And so expressed apology and sentiment.

But nooooo - people don’t see that because John’s looking in Sherlock’s direction for a few seconds.

people don’t see that because John’s looking in Sherlock’s direction for a few seconds.

And it’s never stated that she felt bad about herself after this. She actually doesn’t show much ‘feeling bad about herself’ at all in the series, if you ask me. She’s a bit awkward, but people can be awkward and still be pretty confident. She got upset at him for being a jerk. And she calls him out on it.

Now, maybe this is stretching the scene a bit, but I think that she calls him out on it immediately, shows in fact that she doesn’t feel insecure about the things he pointed out, but she is hurt that he said them. She knows that she’s not got inferior breasts or anything. She knows she’s enough, but that doesn’t change that he was hurtful and mean. And then he immediately apologizes, and kisses her cheek. She doesn’t say ‘oh, its ok.’ She doesn’t just laugh it off.

The reason that scene says that to me is because in my experience, most people that are not confident won’t say anything. They believe the things that were said about them, and to hear them pointed out by someone else only confirms what they feel so they will just take it. This is not really a ‘poor Molly scene’, although we do have sympathy for her. This is another Molly victory, another moment Molly pulls Sherlock a little further away from the edge of inhuman.
